Fabrication

Fabrication is a process that includes the manufacture and assembly of parts or systems at a location away from the projects. Through some researches I realized that off site fabrication usually provide low cost benefit and not limited by the site and tooling restriction

For my node:

 

The core of my node is a concrete tube, normally need to be built on site. However,  precast concrete block can be applied to reduce the on site work load and time. The rest of my node material is mainly timber. thus, the timber members can be done in factory, and transport to the site.

 

 

The way of transport: 

 

As the site is close to river, may be shipping is the best way to deliver the materials
